CSO YACHTS was established in 1959 and is one of the oldest and most experienced yacht brokerage houses in the world.

CSO YACHTS was created by Mr Claude Schmitt. After 38 successful years of continuous trading he retired from the yachting industry with full confidence in his colleague of 12 years, Claude Niek, who took over in 1998. The same business ethics: professionalism and discretion are practised by the entire CSO team.

As a small, flexible organisation we are always available to assist and guide with any questions and issues. We work together as a team with one goal – to provide our clients with the best service in the yachting industry. With our history as a solid foundation, we work and focus on the future

All sales and charter contracts provided by CSO YACHTS follow MYBA (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) guidelines.

The CSO Yachts Team

Claude Niek - Director & sales broker:

 Claude is a member of MYBA, past vice president and chairman of the MYBAnet committee. He is also a member of the board of Cannes harbour. His contacts and influence are very helpful for ironing out any glitches that may occur.

Steve Ashford - Spain office director & sales broker:

 Steve joined CSO Yachts in 2001, with more than 20 years of experience as a captain onboard mega sailing yachts, his knowledge of yachts and understanding of clients needs are valuable assets.

Elisabeth Niek - Charter department manager:

 Elisabeth is well known for her organizational abilities, she always has her eye on the ball. She has an excellent reputation with both clients and captains. She became Charter Department Manager in 1997, treasurer of Myba and Chairman of the Yachtfolio committee since June 2010.

Sofia Almén - Charter broker:

 Sofia Almén left Sweden to join CSO Yachts in 2004. She has a Business Master’s degree from Lyon in France and speaks Swedish, English and French. Based on her knowledge and skills, she delivers only the best service to the clients. You are in very good hands.

Karen O’Connor - Charter broker:

 Karen worked in one of the world’s most prestigious golf resorts before joining the yachting industry over 10 years ago. She speaks fluent English and French and is passionate about her job. Her love of the seas and great attention to detail are valuable assets.

Amandine Champion - Claude Niek’s personnal assistant:

 Amandine Champion has a Tourism Licence and previously worked for the Port of Cannes. Dedicated, efficient and a valued member of the team, Amandine is our directors PA working in the sales department.

Mirko Augery - Brokerage & Management assistant:

Mirko Augery previously worked for EGP (yacht supplier), and since he joined csoyachts, he shares his enthusiasm and efficiency within the sales and management departments.
