CSO YACHTS was established in 1959 and is one of the oldest and most experienced yacht brokerage houses in the world.

CSO YACHTS was created by Mr Claude Schmitt. After 38 successful years of continuous trading he retired from the yachting industry with full confidence in his colleague of 12 years, Claude Niek, who took over in 1998. The same business ethics: professionalism and discretion are practised by the entire CSO team.

All sales and charter contracts provided by CSO YACHTS follow MYBA ( The Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) guidelines.

Sales Broker: Claude Niek is a member of the MYBA board and the chairman of the MYBAnet committee. He is also a member of the board of Cannes harbour. His contacts and influence are very helpful for ironing out any glitches that may occur.

Sales Broker: Steve Ashford, Steve joined CSO in 2001, with more than 20 years of experience as a captain onboard sailing yachts, his knowledge of yachts and understanding of clients needs are valuable assets.

Sales Broker: Grégory Gheraïa joined CSO YACHTS in 2006. He worked for three years for Boat International publications in London as a key account manager. His negotiating skills and appreciative of clients wishes made him a great adviser. He speaks French, English and Spanish.

Sales Broker: Denis Vizintin joined CSO YACHTS in 2007. Denis worked on motor yachts for the past 20 years, of which the last 3 years as a Captain on a very successful charter vessel. His vast yachting experience is going to be well applied in the sale department. Denis speaks English, Slovenian/Croatian, Italian and Spanish

Charter Manager: Elisabeth Niek is well known for her organizational abilities, she always has her eye on the ball. She has an excellent reputation with both clients and captains and crew. She became co-director and Charter Manager in 1997.

Charter Broker: Sofia Almén left Sweden to join CSO in 2004. She has a Business Master’s degree from Lyon in France and speaks Swedish, English and French. Based on her knowledge and skills, she delivers only the best service to the clients. You are in very good hands.

Charter Management: Vanessa Foucart, joined CSO YACHTS in 2006, She has several years of experience in the yachting industry, working 4 years for Rodriguez Group in Cannes. Vanessa will take care of the bookings for yachts in central agreement with CSO YACHTS. She will market the yacht to the brokers in the yachting industry, she is in direct contact with the captains and crew, organize publication of brochures etc
